THE MASTERCLASSES

AWAKEN YOUR COMPASSION

SUNDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER

A moving meditation & self-compassion practice to support you in transitions with Almon

Are you experiencing a major life transition - such as moving to a new country, becoming a parent, entering peri/menopause, starting a new job, or adjusting to the new school year?

This uplifting and soothing practice is designed to support you through these changes, helping you feel nurtured and empowered as you embrace your new state of being.

In this masterclass, we will engage in a breath-led vinyasa flow, serving as a moving meditation to focus the mind.

The dynamic postures are intended to uplift and inspire, while restorative poses will help to calm and rebalance.

Additionally, we’ll explore self-compassion techniques, including self-massage, mindful meditation, and deep rest. We'll discuss how to incorporate these skills into both new and established yoga practices.

AWAKEN YOUR EXPRESSION

SUNDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER

An exploration of your body’s potential through a playful vinyasa practice with Marina

Join us for an immersive 2-hour Rocket 1 Masterclass, where we will dive into the progressive vinyasa sequence known as Rocket.

This dynamic practice invites a sense of playfulness and freedom, emphasizing fluid transitions and inversions.

In this masterclass, we’ll move through Rocket 1, a series derived from the Ashtanga Primary Series, with the goal of allowing practitioners to explore poses and progression, regardless of where they are in their yoga journey.

Rocket is all about self-expression and freedom, empowering you to experience poses from a functional perspective, free from limiting alignment cues.

Come prepared to breathe, move, and explore a practice that connects us to the core philosophy of yoga: Liberation.

AWAKEN YOUR CORE

SUNDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER

A deep dive into Hypopressives & bringing synergy to your body’s center with Simone

Our core, our center, is the source of our power, balance, and ease of movement.

While the concept of a strong core often conjures images of a six-pack, true core strength comes from the harmonious function of the pelvic floor, abdominals, diaphragm, and back muscles.

When these muscle groups work together, we achieve a functional and resilient core.

In this masterclass, we will explore the Hypopressives technique, learning various poses before integrating them into a flowing sequence.

This practice focuses on the pelvic floor and diaphragm, working them in synergy to bring both stretch and strength to these interconnected muscles.

AWAKEN YOUR POTENTIAL

WEDNESDAY 2ND OCTOBER

A shamanic breathwork journey into your inner being & far beyond with Carlota

This transformative masterclass is designed to take you on a profound journey into the expansion of the Self and its untapped potentials.

In the first part of the masterclass, we will explore the significance of breath, not just on a physical level, but from a transpersonal perspective - integrating the various dimensions of the Being.

You'll learn how conscious breathing can serve as a bridge to deeper aspects of yourself.

The second part of the masterclass will guide you beyond your usual reality, using the tones and rhythms of your breath to explore new states of consciousness.

This practice is a journey, an unfolding, of the deeper layers of yourself and consciousness. You’re invited to come with an open heart and a curious mind.

ABOUT YOGA GIVES BACK

Born from the idea of a yoga student who wanted to express her gratitude for the gift of yoga and give back to India, Yoga Gives Back has, over the last 17 years, successfully engaged yoga practitioners in more than 30 countries to give back with gratitude to India, the motherland of yoga.

Today, Yoga Gives Back has spread globally, with 150 Ambassadors who are yoga teachers sharing YGB’s mission with their communities and raising funds through their events. They have also created a community of dedicated volunteers and partnering sponsors whose annual contributions tremendously help further their mission.

This global community’s support assists over 3,000 women and children through life-changing programs: early education, scholarships for higher education, and micro-loan programs that help build a life of happiness, self-worth, and sustainability.

But Yoga Gives Back is not only about providing financial support where there is need. They are creating an eternal circulation of gratitude expressed among yoga practitioners globally and fund recipients in India, connecting us all.

Over the last seventeen years, YGB’s global community has grown to empower more than 3,000 women and children in India per year:

  • 550 impoverished mothers resumed micro-loan income-earning work after a three-year pandemic interruption.

  • 600 rural young girls continue their primary education, avoiding child labor or child marriage.

  • 35 abandoned children live in a loving home with high-quality education.

  • 440 disadvantaged youths receive a five-year Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE).

  • 200 youths graduated with a Bachelor’s degree or advanced Master’s degree, helping their families and becoming role models in their communities.

  • 800 rural poor children receive special education assistance after falling behind due to 18 months of school closures caused by Covid.

  • 50 teachers at government schools in remote rural areas are supported with additional resources.

  • 150 rural girls gain access to computers with internet and training.

  • 20 women are trained to produce, use, and sell sanitary napkins.
